Sittanunku
United on Saturday 2nd November 2019 knocked host Toubakolong United out of the
race in the first semi finals encounter of the Toubakolong nawetan competition.
The
hero of the game for Sittanunku United was Lamin Jammeh who netted the only
goal in the 52 minutes despite Kassim Bah’s threatening shots on the side net
and Buba Dibba hitting the cross bar.
Sittanunku
United comfortably awaits the grand final to be played against Naimbelly United
who defeated mighty Aljamdu United by the same score line on Sunday 3rd
November 2019.
Goalkeeper
Mosses Jatta secured his side place in the final after converting from the
penalty spot in the 7 minute of the game when defender Ensa Bojang handle a
ball in his penalty area.
The
early goal was good enough for Naimbelly United that catapult them to the
finals on their first appearance in Toubakolong Nawetan.
Meanwhile,
the knockout fixtures for Friday 8th November will feature Lions of Albreda
against Sittanunku (B). On Saturday 9th November 2019 TRRC of Aljamdu will take on Sanchaba United
while Sunday’s encounter will see Elements of
Surprise battle it out with Pakau Penku United.
