Seaview and Interior got promoted to the topflight after their instrumental performance in the second tier last season and shared spoils in the first round.

Steve Biko are still leading the standings with 27 points in fourteen games; Bakau United are 3rd with 20 points in fourteen games, and Gambia Ports Authority and Samger are 9th and 10th positions respectively with 15 points each.
Interior have now dropped to second from bottom with 14 points in fourteen games and will be expecting to win their remaining games to avoid relegation in the season.
