Another Defeat for London/Nigeria Cricket Club

The London/Nigeria Cricket Club, a team currently on visit in the country, on Friday lost its second game against the July 22nd Selection.

The team, which will wrap up its visit on Tuesday, batted first and scored 171runs in 39 overs.

The highest scorer for the visitors was Roland Ilube with 40 runs, while Gabby who got 8 overs 39 runs and 2 wickets emerged the best bowler.

The July 22nd team batted next and reached their target of 172 runs in 29 overs. The highest scorer of the tournament was George Greywood, who recorded 53 runs. Ram Mohan, Consul for India in The Gambia, a good cricketer and all rounder, was the best bowler for the July 22nd Selection. He bowled 6 overs for 29 runs and got three wickets.

The London/Nigeria Cricket Club played its final game against the Asian community Cricket team yesterday at the July 22nd Square.
