One Lamin Badjie, a rape suspect, was Monday remanded in custody by the Brikama Magistrate’ Court, presided over by Magistrate Foster.
Lamin Badjie was arraigned before the said court and charged with rape which he had denied and was subsequently remanded in custody.
The magistrate then ordered the case to be transferred to the Special Criminal Court in Banjul.
The particulars of offence indicated that the accused, Lamin Badjie, on 16 April 2013, at Kitty Village, in the Kombo Central, West Coast Region, had a carnal knowledge of an underage girl of 15 years.
