PW3 testifies in court

The prosecution third witness, one Fatou Langleigh on 10th May 2010, testified in the trial of one Mbye Jagne, who is standing trial at the Kanifing Magistrates' Court on charges of theft, willful damage to property and assault.

Testifying before Magistrate Drammeh, the witness, Fatou Lanliegh told the court that on 26th April 2010, the accused entered in her bedroom while she was in the toilet when she saw him took her mobile phone.

She adduced that she then woke  her husband up, who got hold of the accused, while she rushed to Kanifing Estate Police Station for assistance. At the station, she said she was escorted by two police officers who arrested the accused, and recovered the mobile from him.

Subsequently, she said the accused was later taken to Kanifing Estate Police Station, where she made a statement.

The case was adjourned to 18th May 2010 for continuation.
