Profile: Musa Sonko a vibrant player

Musa Sonko, alias Panabucano, is one of the hottest prospects in Gambian football and his movement, dribbling skills and free-kicks are absolutely amazing and astonishing.

Born in Gunjur, Musa Sonko attended Gunjur Lower Basic School in early 2000 and later proceeded to Gunjur Upper Basic School and then to the Gambia Senior Secondary School before joining Gambia Technical Training Institute where he studied Information Technology and graduated in 2012.

Musa Sonko started his career with Young Juventus in junior nawettan and late joined Manchester United FC in Gunjur Senior nawettan in the 2009-2010 season.

He was on target when Manchester United FC thrashed World Eleven FC 3-1 to claim the 2010 Gunjur Knockout title.

His eye-catching performance for Manchester United FC in the 2010 Gunjur Nawettan earned him a place in Gunjur United FC squad in the GFA second division in which he notched two goals in the 2011-2012 season.

Musa is a versatile player who can play in various departments in the field of play, such as midfield, left and right wings, and can also play as a supporting striker.

Sonko’s favorite player is former Olympic Lyon and Brazil playmaker Junihno Parabucano. His ambition is to become a professional player in future.
