Premier Company Ltd was sued to the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court by one Alagie Ngum on 5 December 2013, for the recovery of D34,485.83 and damages in the sum of D25,000 before Magistrate Jobarteh.
The particulars of claim of the plaintiff, Alagie Ngum, were for the recovery of the sum of D34,485.83 being the amount of money owed by the defendant.
The plaintiff, in his claim, stated that he played a lottery organized by the defendant and won the said sum of money but was paid only D7,535.
Alagie Ngum further indicated in his claim that he approached the defendant for his money but the defendant was reluctant and continued to give him flimsy excuse.
The plaintiff demanded the said money but to no avail, stated the claim.
Alagie Ngum was seeking redress from the court, since the defendant had failed to pay him his money.
When the claim was read to the defendant’s representative, Lucy Jagne, she denied liability.
The case was subsequently adjourned till 23 December 2013, for hearing.
