The president and the executive board of the National Inter-Departmental Sports Association (NISA) have postponed planned draw in this year’s NISA organised Sub-regional Sports Championship between Gambia and Senegal until after the Ramadan.

According to NISA Secretary General Saikou B. Jarju, the championship itself, initially scheduled as part of the July 22 Anniversary celebration, will now take place after the holy month of Ramadan.

“NISA wishes to announce that all logistics and other organizational matters covered so far remained intact and that work on all aspects of the preparation for the event is well on course,” a statement by NISA said.

“NISA regrets for the delay largely due to a unanimous consent between the stakeholders to respect the sanctity of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

“NISA wishes to assure all partners, teams and the general public of the most exciting sports Jamboree in the history of this Pan-African event. “
