Net Bii FC on Tuesday defeated Karl FC 2 goals to nil in the opening match of the 2010 Serrekunda East Sports Development Organization (SESDO) Nawetaan qualifiers at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
Net Bii FC goals were scored by Alagie Kujabi and Gibi Saine in the 28th and 69th minutes of the game respectively.
The same day in the 3PM kick-off, South Africa FC thrashed Max United 3 -0.
Fafading Kuyateh scored a brace for South Africa FC in the 33rd and 53rd minutes while Omar Marong sealed South African FC's victory in the 44th minute of the game.
The competition which is staged in a knock-out brought together Thirty-six teams which will be taking part in the first round of the qualifying round in which eighteen teams will qualify to the next stage of the qualifiers.
The eighteen teams will be joined by the four last teams of the year Nawetaan competition to make it twenty-two teams which will also fight for their position in the next stage of the championship and eleven spots area available for contest.
The eleven teams which will make it to the next phrase of the qualifiers will be join by the best looser to make it twelve.
Six teams that will compete for the final qualifiers games of the competition will be joined by the two best losers which would make it to the last eight teams who will play against each other. Four teams will then qualify from the eight teams and will join the twenty teams of last year that will play the Nawetaan Proper in the league and knock-out competition.
