Nema Volleyball club have registered their first victory in the ongoing Brikama Youth and Sports Committee (BYSC) volleyball championship.
After beating UNICEF 3sets to 1 in a well-contested game played at the Box Bar Mini Stadium at the weekend, Nema, who lost to Jaliba United 3sets to 1 in their opening, came into the game with the intention of bagging maximum points knowing that a defeat against UNICEF will really dash their hopes of staying in the competition and put up respectable performance and registered a resounding 3sets to 1 win over UNICEF to register their first victory in the championship.
UNICEF are yet to secure a victory since the start of the championship three weeks ago as they lost to Jaliba United and the Gambia College in their previous two games.
Nema have now snatched one victory in two games, while the Gambia College and Jaliba United have both bagged two victories in two outings.
