According to reports monitored on the club's website, the 20 year, tall and lanky striker has signed a 2 year contract with an option for another season.
Zico was part of the U-17 football team that won the African title in Banjul and defeated Brazil 3-1 at the World U-17 Cup in Peru in 2005. During the championship Momodou Ceesay was one of the team's biggest heroes until when they crashed out of the group stages of the championship despite a brilliant performance.
Since Peru, Zico was nursing a nee injury until he had to under go surgery which went successful. This could be related to his failure to appear for the Gambia at U-20 level in 2007.
KVC Westerlo , founded in 1933, are currently occupying 5th position on the Belgian first division table.
