Momodou Ceesay Pens 2year Contract in Belgium

Momodou Ceesay alias Zico, former Wallidan and U-17 player has finally signed a 2year contract with Belgian first division outfit, KVC Westerlo.

According to reports monitored on the club's website, the 20 year, tall and lanky striker has signed a 2 year contract with an option for another season.

Zico was part of the U-17 football team that won the African title in Banjul and defeated Brazil 3-1 at the World U-17 Cup in Peru in 2005. During the championship Momodou Ceesay was one of the team's biggest heroes until when they crashed out of the group stages of the championship despite a brilliant performance.

Since Peru, Zico was nursing a nee injury until he had to under go surgery which went successful. This could be related to his failure to appear for the Gambia at U-20 level in 2007.

KVC Westerlo , founded  in 1933, are currently occupying   5th position on the  Belgian first division table.
