Medina FC complete line-up for Alagie Mbye tourney semi-finals

Medina FC on Sunday 15 November 2015 beat Wellingara FC on post-match penalty shootout following a 1-all draw in regulation time to complete the semi-final line-up of the Alagie Mbye tournament.

The quarterfinal game between Medina FC and Wellingara FC was played at the Biri-Biri Mini Stadium in Ndofan village, Lower Niumi District, North Bank Region.

Medina FC will now face Sam Mbollet FC in the semi-finals encounter. Sam Mbollet FC earlier secured their semi-final place after beating Busura FC 2-1 in the quarterfinals.

Earlier on Saturday 14 November 2015, Barcelona FC defeated Turka United by a goal to nil to also qualify for the semi-finals thanks to Modou Lamin Sarr’s 5th-minute strike.

Barcelona will take on Mbollet Ba FC in their semi-final game.

It would be recalled that Mbollet Ba FC made it to the semi-finals after beating Kerr Jatta FC by 2-1 in their quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, in the ongoing Lower Niumi North Football Association organised tournament on Saturday 14 November 2015, Mbollet Ba FC lost to Mabou United by 2-1 in the quarter-final game played at the Mbollet Ba Lower Basic School football ground.

The win means Mabou United have now secured their semi-final place in the Bayba Financial Services-sponsored tournament.

Jokko FC on Sunday 15 November 2015 beat Amdalai FC by 3-1 on penalty shootout following a 1-all draw on regulation time.

The other quarterfinal encounters will see Misiranding FC battle for a semi-final spot with Fass FC on Saturday 21 November 2015 and Mbankam FC locking horns with Njongon FC in the Sunday clash.
