The annual event will bring together companies and institutions to participate in various events such as Tug of War and Musical Chair.
The event, which started with few institutions and departments, has now attracted over sixty-five departments and institutions that celebrate the significant day annually.
Speaking to this reporter, Modou Demba said this year’s celebration will bring about a whole lot of government ministries and departments who are always allowed to take part in the match, adding that all teams will report to the Gambia Workers Union, from the Daily Observer to Bakau Independence Stadium at 8 a.m.
Mr. Demba noted that when the teams arrived at the Independence Stadium, various speeches will be delivered, adding that at 11a.m., the May Day programme will commence with the Tug of War event, which will be in progress till 13:00 GMT.
From 13hrs GMT there will be a break for launch till 15hrs GMT, when the GNOC will commence its match-past till the end.
The female musical chair will also take place at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
