One Ebrima Ndure was on 26th August 2009 arraigned before Magistrate Badou Jobe of the Kanifing Magistrate court to answer to a charge of going armed in public.
According to the facts as narrated by the prosecuting officer Cpl 515 Jawo, it happened on 20th August 2009 around 0400hrs and 0500hrs while police officers were on patrol they met with the accused person at the road idling around.
He said the officers confronted the accused person and conduct a body search, and in the process a knife was found in his possession. He added that the accused was arrested cautioned and charged with the offence committed. Meanwhile, the accused was granted a court bail in the sum of D2, 000, and the case was adjourned to Monday 7th September 2009.
