Emmanuel Cole, a Liberian national, was yesterday arraigned
at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged on a single-count of selling fake
notes of US dollars.
He denied the charge and was granted court bail of D10, 000 with one Gambian surety who must depose to an affidavit of means and deposit an ID card.
The accused was also ordered to surrender his travelling documents and should be reporting to Serrekunda Police Station once a week until the determination of the case.
Hearing continues on 17 December 2012.
The charge sheet read in court stated that on 24 November 2012, at MJ Finance Bureau, Palma Rima Beach, in the Kanifing Municipality, the accused, Emmanuel Cole, was found or had in his possession forged hundred dollar denomination notes of US currency.
