Man arraigned for alleged burglar

Malian national Omar Konateh was recently arraigned before the Brikama Magistrates’ Court charged with housebreaking and stealing. 

According to the particulars of offence, the accused, Omar Konateh, on 8 April 2012, at Tanji village, in the Kombo South District of the West Coast Region, broke into the house of one Saidy Jallow with intent to commit a felony.

Count two stated that on the same date and at the same place, Omar stole the following items: one mobile phone marked Nokia valued at D600, and cash of D610, being the property of one John Tunkara.

He admitted to the charges and was remanded in custody before the case was adjourned till 7 May 2012, for facts and sentences.
