In
a bid to boost the health sector in The Gambia, Malta One Family Promotion
recently donated some materials to the Brikama Major Health Centre at a
ceremony held at the hospital grounds.
The
donated materials included nine boxes of Omo, five packets of laundry soap,
eight ledger books, six packets of smart copy paper, six soft brooms and seven
cartons of bathing soap.
Speaking
at the presentation, Pa Saikou Bojang, head of the clinic department at the
Brikama Major Health Centre, said the Malta people donated about 32 different
materials to the health centre as part of their contribution to complementing
government’s effort at boosting health service delivery in The Gambia.
He
said their volunteers are still committed to promoting the wellbeing of all
residents in the country.
Ana
Caruana of the Malta Mission in The Gambia said they have donated the materials
to the Brikama Major Health Centre to help in improving the wellbeing of the
residents.
Mrs
Caruana added that this was her first time to donate the materials to the
Brikama Major Health Centre, she said as she promised more of such support.
