Magnificent Joe, a renowned Gambian artist who was the winner of the Mega Chart Burster of the 2009 Gam-music award has called on organisations and companies to come into his aid to launch his first album entitled Legal Movement.

The Gambian star has recently proven his talent beyond reasonable doubt as one of the known reggae up-coming stars in the country said his first album containing eight tracks which is geared towards educating and preparing the minds of the young for future development is ready.

Speaking in an interview with Entertainment recently at The Point's newsroom, Magnificent Joe said his first album is ready, but is facing problem of sponsorship for its launching

The Gambian reggae star lamented that with all the efforts in trying to develop his career, sponsors are still not coming forth to his plea in assisting him to achieve his goals.

He revealed that not long ago he emerged as the winner of the Gamcel's "Chart Burster" and had a one year's contract with Gambia's GSM giants, Gamcel, but nothing yet has come of that contract.

He called on Gamcel to come to his aid to make the most of his enthusiasm.

Giving account of his career, Magnificent Joe said he started music in 1998, when he used to sing in the Churches and school.

He urged the Gambian media not only to concentrate on foreign artists, but more on to national artists.

He said his album, which is in both cassette and CD, would be available in the market the soonest after its release.

In conclusion, Magnificent Joe sent a special thanks to President Jammeh and the organisers the Gamcel Chart Burster, DJ Lamin Cham, DJ Owl, DJ Sahiou B, DJ Daddy G, DJ Bombastic and all his fans, including all others for promoting Gambian music.
