Lotto PMU presents over D82,000 to third winner

Lotto MPU The Gambia Wednesday presented a cash amount of D82, 400 to its third winner at a ceremony held at its office along Kombo Sillah Drive.

Ali Jawo of Tallinding became the third person to hit the jackpot within the two months of the establishment of the company.

In her brief remarks, Kendaga Ceesay, Marketing Director Lotto PMU, said the presentation reflects a reality of the job they are doing.

She expressed delight with the presentation as the winner is an employee of their sister company – Gambia National Lottery.

Aji Besin Touray, Lotto PMU Senior Marketing Manageress, said the company is here to stay, adding that the company was established by Gambians and currently employs Gambians and, therefore, called on all to embrace the company as the profits they make stay in the country.

She thanked the initiators of the company, and called on their customers to continue playing with the company.

Omar Koma, the company’s Senior Marketing Manager also called ‘Nyawuru’, said the company is here to alleviate poverty, adding that within two months, they have touched various sectors of the society as their first winner was a welder man, the second a fishmonger and now an employee of Gambia National Lottery.

Mr Koma thanked President Jammeh and congratulated him on the 20th Anniversary of the July 22nd Revolution.

He went on to thank all agents and customers of the company.

Ali Jawo, the winner of the jackpot, thanked the Almighty for winning and expressed delight for hitting the jackpot for the first time.

Mr Jawo, who is an agent of the Gambia National Lottery, noted that “seeing is believing” because everyone saw him receive the money.

He would save the money, and later decide what to do with it. Jawo encouraged customers to continue playing as there is a lucky day for everyone.
