However, Nawettan has both its positive and negative sides, and the purpose of Nawettan is defeated when people engage in hooliganism, instead of promoting peace among the people.
The zonal Nawettan initiated by the Gambia Football Association is a good move, as it brings about healthy competition among the regions.
Football is a nice game; so it is the responsibility of both the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Basic and Secondary Education and the Gambia Football Association to promote schools football, because this is where the young ones can be nurtured.
