Late Pa Jobe Jassey Memorial League set for Saturday

World Stars FC will rub shoulders with FFC in the 2013-2014 the late Pa Jobe Jassey Memorial League final billed for Saturday 11 January 2014, at the Stamford Bridge Football field in Gunjur Kanilai.

World Stars FC and FFC are two most consistent teams in the league and have won their games in grand styles. Both will be fighting for a victory to claim the trophy.

The final clash, described by many football fans in the area as nail-biting, is expected to attract large crowd for the weekend’s biggest showdown.

Expected also to witness the much-awaited final are the former president of Gunjur Youth and Sports Development Association, who is also the chairman of Kombo District Sports Committee, Buba Bada Bojang, GYSDA executive members, the late Pa Jobe Jassey’s family members, friends, Solifo Investment FC and other important dignitaries.

The tournament is organised by Yaya Sowe in memory of the late Pa Jobe Jassey, a former player of Solifo Investment FC, who passed away in 2003.

The memorial tourney is also done to nurture, groom, promote and develop young talents in Gunjur and its satellite areas.
