The Second Vice-President of the Gambia Football Association (GFA), Lamin King Colley, who recently resigned as the Chairman of Western Region Sports Committee (WRSC), as well as President of Brikama Youth and Sports Committee (BYSC), has urged the Western Region Sports Committee to work hand-in-glove so as to uplift sports to the higher heights in the region and the country at large.
Speaking to Pointsport, King Colley said his committee has achieved a lot for the people of Western Region by producing one First Division team Brikama United and three Second Division teams Lamin and Nema United and Jambanjelly, which was relegated to the Third Division last season.
He advised the executive to remain focused and emulate the work done by the regional sports body in order to realise their dreams. He said "but if you failed to follow the footstep certainly you will have a problem."
He urged the executive to work in collaboration with the government of The Gambia, who always see youths as their first priority.
He applauded all those who have supported his committee during their tenure of office and urged them to continue rendering support to the committee so that they can realise their objectives.
