Killah Ace Gambia Hip-Hop rapper recently represented The Gambia at the 8th edition of the “International Festival of Hip-Hop and urban culture” in Senegal.
He put up spectacular performance on 21 June 2013 at the “Special Fete De la Musique” hosted by Zimbabwean artiste NTM at Institute François De Dakar.
On 22 June 2013, he also performed at a “Mega Concert De Cloture at the Complex culture Leopold Sedar Senghore in Pikine.
“So many people admire and cherish the young Gambia Hip-Hop artiste all over the world, due to his multi-talents and innovative style on stage,” Mamur M. Mbenga said.
Killah Ace, Gambia Hip-Hop rapper, who started doing Hip-Hop in the US during his early age, is a well-known figure in the country for Hip-Hop as he is also a founding member of “Cyper movement” a group promoting hip-hop.
He also said as a prominent member of “Straight from Jupiter entertainment” he used to host monthly hip-hop shows.
Amadou Fall Ba, Director General of International Festival of Hip-Hop and Urban Culture, said the aim of the festival is to promote and develop urban culture in Africa.
“Urban culture in the fields of graffiti, rap, Djs, slam, beat box, break dance, exhibition of arts materials and workshop, has attracted countries like Senegal, The Gambia, Mauritania, Chad, Zimbabwe, Niger, Morocco, USA, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Spain, Belgium, the UK, the Netherlands and France to promote urban culture.
