Karmic Angels, a registered charitable organisation in The Gambia, has continued to render invaluable support to Gambian sport, particularly football.

The organisation under the guidance of Alan and Stephanie Turner, at the weekend donated a set of football Jerseys to the Jiffarong Football Club (JFC) at a ceremony held at the team’s training centre in Buffer Zone, Fajikunda.

The materials were donated to the JFC thanks to the connection of Bekai Njie, senior reporter at the Daily Observe newspaper, who is also a native of the village and a friend to the British couple.

The items, which also included three footballs, was received on behalf of the  team by Jerreh Kinteh, head coach of the Lower River Region outfit, whose charges were also in attendance to receive the materials with excitement.

The team expressed hope that the items would make a significant contribution in their career as the team members have made several unsuccessful efforts over the years to secure proper football materials.

Speaking to Pointsport shortly after the presentation, Alan said the materials would give more confidence to members of the team. “None of them will wear different jerseys any more for matches,” he added.

The lover of youth and sport also said the primary reason they are contributing to football development in The Gambia is because it is the leading sport in the country and that their contribution will help the boys to be dedicated and continue to take up football with all seriousness.
