The Pentagon Promotion Annual Gunjur Got Talent Show, which brought together contestants to contest and exhibit their talents and skills in beauty contest, dancing, comedy, speeches and debate, attracted hundreds of people from Gunjur and its satellite areas for the biggest talents exhibition extravaganza.
Haddijatou Drammeh received D5,000 as the winner for the beauty pageant after beating her opponents in the contest.
Speaking on the occasion, Omar N. Darboe, coordinator of Pentagon Promotion Gunjur Got Talents, who also doubles as the Social Secretary of Gunjur Village Development Committee, said Gunjur Got Talents show was organised to give the youth opportunity to showcase their skills and talents in dancing, comedy, fashion show, speeches, debate, and beauty pageant.
Darboe stated that D20,000 and certificates was distributed to the winners after the show, adding that the show was sponsored by Regional Solar Engineering Enterprise Limited.
Darboe further stated that the show was also meant to contribute immensely towards capacity building and skills development for youth in the village as well as contributing towards the socio-economic development of the community
Darboe applauded British nationals Lynne Sunners and Lynne Scragg, Saikou Darboe in Sweden, Kemo D, Jay-A-Teh, Badibunka and all those who contributed towards the success of the show.
