Jolly Riders Donates Bicycles and Medical Equipment

As part of their 9thedition of giving support to the Gambian community since 2006, the Jolly Riders foundation has given yet another 303 bicycles to be shared between three School's and medical equipment to the RVTH.

Speaking on the presentation ceremony, the Director of Jolly Riders foundation in The Gambia, Mr. Babucarr Bayo Touray, said It is always a pleasure for them as a charitable foundation to donate items to the people especially the deserving ones. He said since its inception in 2006, Jolly Riders has donated over 2,820 bicycles to various schools across the country. He however promised that another 347 bikes are on the way for Gambian schools.

Speaking on behalf of his fellow parliamentarians, the NAM for Kiang Central, Honourable Babanding K. Daffeh, expressed his gratitude to the Jolly Riders for the support they render to Gambian Schools. "This will boost the performance of our education as access brings quality", said Honourable Daffeh.

Chairman of the Jolly Riders Foundation, Mr Barry Wright, advised the students to be very careful of how they ride bicycles on the way to and from school.

He also advised them to make good use of the bicycles and take proper care of them.

Mr. Lamin Juwara, principal BansangSeniorSecondary School. gave the vote of thanks on behalf of the beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, another three bikes were donated to the beekeepers association of Gunjur. The three beneficiary schools are KwinellaUpperBasicSchool, Bansang and SambangUpperBasicSchools.
