Two Gambian Swedish nationals:  Omar and Amadou Jawo are presently plying their trade in the Swedish Allsvenkan league with Gegle IF club.

The Gambian duo joined the First Division outfit from January 2008 to January 2009, increasing the number of Gambian players in the Swedish professional league.

Amadou Jawo, who is an attacking striker had joined the club from Vallentuna BK in 2008, and earlier played for IK Frej.

Defender Omar Jawo, the latest to sign with the side in January 2009 from the Swedish Superettan side Väsby United, is a strong merge with one of the Clubs Star players Daniel Theorin.

Both players are aged 26 and 28, respectively. The two are described by Gegle IF team coach as incredible and cooperative.

With the current development in the nation's football, Omar and Amadou could be possible potential candidates for the national team in the country's campaign to make its first appearance in future Africa and World Cup.
