Gambia midfielder Tijan Jaiteh and Sandefjord are in a
tight chase for top spot with three points to catch up against already leading
Ranheim in the Norwegian first division.
Jaiteh, who has made nine appearances so far for Sandefjord, is yet to score for the division one side after netting just two goals last season.
Sandefjord beat Vard 3-1 on Monday and are set to take on Bryne next weekend, soccerway states.
In the higher league in Norway, Mohammed Keita’s Stromsgodset are on top of the Eliteserien. Their 6-0 conquest against Start on Monday has helped fuelled their lead to the top, with a five point gap between them and second-placed Rosenborg.
Leading Stromsgodset are set to host Aalesund on Saturday.
