Ivorian Arraigned for Alleged Indecent Assault

One Musa konneh, an Ivorian national was on Thursday 9th April 2009 arraigned before senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbackeh of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court for alleged indecent assault of a female contrary to section 126(1) of the criminal code cap 10 volume III laws of the Gambia.

According to the particulars of the offence on or about the month of January 20009 at Tallinding, the accused unlawfully and indecently assaulted an eight-year -old girl name (withheld) by putting his finger in the private part of the girl.

When the charged was read to him in the language he claim to understand he pleaded guilty.

Meanwhile, the case was adjourned to 28th April 2009 before the accused was remanded at the State Central Prison of Mile II.
