Darboe made these remarks during his Tobaski sermon at the Gunjur prayer grounds on Saturday, where hundreds of worshippers from Gunjur and environs gathered for the feast.
He said Muslims need to be one and unite towards attaining their aims and objectives, adding that without unity among Muslims it would be difficult for them to achieve their objectives.
Unity among Muslims it would enable them to realize their objectives, Imam Darboe stressed.
Imam Darboe further stated that Muslims should always have good intentions for their fellow Muslims, and also render help to each other.
He advised Muslims to also move away from bad deeds and do good deeds in order to receive Allah’s blessing.
Darboe pointed out that any Muslim who failed to perform the five daily prayers and the fast in the holy month of Ramadan would go to hell on the day of judgement.
He prayed for unity, understanding and peace to prevail in the country.
