One Muhammed Fadia was on 11 March 2015 arraigned before Magistrate Junkung Jobarteh of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court for allegedly battering his wife.

Prosecutors alleged that the accused, Muhammed Fadia, on 4 March 2015 at Serrekunda in the Kanifing Municipality, while in a domestic relationship unlawfully and continuously assaulted his wife, Fatou Fatty.

He denied any wrongdoing.

He was granted bail in the sum of D10,000 with a Gambian surety, who must swear to an affidavit of means and to deposit an ID card with the registrar.

The case continues.
