Trinity FC on Saturday beat Ecomong FC 1-0 in the final game to clinch the 2016
Late Lamin Janneh Memorial Sifoenoran football tournament.
Ecomong FC lost to Sateyba United FC 1-0 in a well-contested final prior to their Saturday’s final clash with Holly Trinity.
It was Holly Trinity FC who snatched the victory after netting a single goal to secure Sifoe’s dry season biggest football gala.
As champions, Holly Trinity FC went home with a giant trophy and an undisclosed cash prize, whilst Ecomong FC received also undisclosed cash prize as runners up.
The tournament was organised by Sifoe Sports Committee in memory of the late Lamin Janneh, former chairperson of Kombo South District Sports Committee, who passed away in 2013.
