Gunjur
United Football Club is enthusiastic to gain promotion to first division league
next season, as the country’s second tier season looms closer.
The
Gunjur-based team failed to gain promotion to the first division last season
after finishing fifth-place in the second division.
Team
coach Baboucarr Bojang alias Kakai said his side are ready and keen to gain
promotion to the first division next season if they receive financial backing
from Gunjur Sports Committee (GSC).
He
stated that his players need football boots and match bonuses to realise their
dreams of gaining promotion to the first division next season.
Bubacarr
Saidy alias Babou, a player urged Gunjur Sports Committee (GSC) to increase
players match bonuses to encourage them to win their games to gain promotion to
first division.
Yaya
Drammeh, a member of Gunjur Sports Committee (GSC) said the committee is ready
to seek funds for the team for their participation in the second division to
get promotion to the country’s premier league next season.
