The 2012 Gunjur Super Cup final is billed for the second day of Koriteh at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field.
The much-awaited Super Cup final will feature last year’s league champions Gamcel FC and knockout champions Lanuja FC.
The final is described by many football fans in Gunjur and its environs as a mouthwatering clash.
Gamcel, who won the Gunjur Super Cup title twice in 2005 and 2010, will be hoping for revenge after losing to Lanuja FC 1-0 in last year’s knockout final to lift their third Super Cup title.
Lanuja FC, on the other hand, have never won Gunjur Super Cup title and this year making their debut appearance in the Super Cup in Gunjur.
They are expected to put up spectacular performance to win the match and clinch their first-ever Super Cup title.
Gamcel FC lifted the league title following their marathon post-match penalty shootout win over Oxford United, after a goalless game in regulation time.
Lanuja secured the knockout title after beating Gamcel 1-0 in the final, courtesy of Ebrima Touray’s second-half strike.
