Government donates 1 million dollars to Haiti

Following the recent devastating earthquake that hit Haiti killing several thousand people and leaving many thousands homeless, the government of The Gambia has announced the donation of one million dollars to the disaster-ravaged nation.

This was revealed by reports monitored on the state media on Friday.

The gesture is the Gambia's contribution to the brotherly people of Haiti, to mitigate the disaster.
