The Ghana Town Mosque Committee in Brufut under the Imam ship of Dr Al- Hassan Ibin Abubakarr will be organising an Islamic forum on Friday to discuss about Islam and the teachings of prophet Muhammed, importance of fasting, among other issues.

This information was revealed to the Point last Monday during an interview with the Imam of Ghana Town, Dr Al Hessian Ibin Abubakarr, who is also a specialist in herbal medicine at Buffer Zone in Tallinding.

According to Ghana Town Imam, the aim of the forum is to promote Islam, peace and unity among Muslims in the holiest month of Ramadan.

He said Allah has mentioned in the Qur'an that "We Muslims are best of all and you have to do good and tell good to others".

He urged Muslims to come out in their large numbers to this important Islamic gathering.

Dr Al Assan told this reporter that fasting is very important in the holy month of Ramadan. As he put it, the holy book of Islam was revealed to Prophet Muhammed in the month of Ramadan, saying that Allah can easily forgive people in this month.

He urged the rich to help the needy and poor, noting that it is incumbent upon the rich to help the poor, more particularly in the holy month of Ramadan.
