"Ghana Can't Stop Us" - U17 Manager Vows

With barely two weeks to go before the encounter between The Gambia and Ghana U17 teams in the CAF U17 youth championship qualifiers, the team manager of The Gambia U17 team, Mr. Abdoulie Bangura, has vowed that the Ghana U17 team cannot stop The Gambia.

Speaking to Pointsports, Mr. Bangura said, "the team are determined, agile and fit enough to challenge any team in the world and the records are there to verify the issue, so Ghana cant stop us from qualifying." He explained that "the boys are training very hard to make sure that they get qualify."

In his remarks, the assistant coach of the team, Lamin Sambou alias LS, said, "There is no doubt that the boys will make it in Ghana. They are well focused and motivated for the game." He then called on the general public to give support and prayers for the boys to come with victory in Ghana.

It will be recalled that The Gambia will be meeting Ghana again in the youth continental tournament qualifiers after the Ghana eliminated The Gambia U20, denying them their second appearance in the CAF U20 youth tournament. The Gambia's only hope of continental tournament action now lies with the U17team after both the senior and U20 teams were eliminated from the qualifiers.
