The
Organizing committee of the Gambia Football Federation has suspended and warned
players and coaches in the second division.
The
Organising Committee has urged Red Hawks FC to establish the status of head
coach Modou Bah who according to the OC is also found sitting on the technical
bench of Hawks Football Club.
The
division two outfit are asked to regularize the position of the said member
before their next scheduled match to ascertain clarity on his status.
The
Organising Committee also suspended Basirou Sanneh of Brufut United FC for one
match and therefore Basirou is suspended for six matches.
Brufut
United assistant coach was found to have misconducted himself against match
officials in their game with Wallidan FC played at the Independence Stadium.
Sultan
Hassan Jallow of Young Africans FC also got suspended for gross misconduct in
their match with Blue Star FC played at the Banjul Mini Stadium.
Jallow
was sent out from the bench for fighting with a fan outside the football field
during the game.
Jallow
will also serve four-match ban; he is therefore not allowed to stand behind the
team bench nor is he to enter the dressing room before, during and after the
games.
The
GFF Organizing Committee says failure to comply will lead to a severe
disciplinary actions in the future.
On
matters relating to Interior FC, the OC also expressed grave concern over the
behaviour of one Sheriff Bah a fan and Police officer with the Interior FC for
using abusive language against match officials.
Mr
Bah was reported to have followed the match officials with insults thus had
been warned strictly to desist from such actions or would face penalties in the
future.
The
GFF Organizing Committee sits on league matters once in a week chaired by the
President Lamin Kabba Bajo.
