Gambia Federation of the Disables (GFD) will be organising a Basketball and Volleyball Tournament for it members today Thursday 3rd December 2009, at the Serrekunda West Lawn, as part of the commemoration of the World Disable Day.
Speaking to the Pointsport , the Chairperson of the organising committee of the World Disable who also doubles as the Chairman of the Gambia Paraolympic Committee, Mr Sulayman Colley, said the tournament would be competed by both male and female wheel chair basketball and volleyball teams within the Greater Banjul area.
He revealed that the tournament is organised to strengthen cordial relationship and understanding among wheel chair basketball and volleyball teams within the Greater Banjul Area.
He urged the public to come out and help people with disabilities in the country so that they can realise their dreams.Read Other Articles In Article (Archive)
