The Gambia Football Association received an ambulance from the Antwerp Banjul Challenge at the Gambia Football House Grounds on Friday.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Lamin Jammeh, the contact person for Antwerp Banjul Challenge, commended President Jammeh for creating an enabling environment for his team to work in. "This is the beginning of a fruitful relationship," he added.
Cor de Bresser, head of the Antwerp Banjul Challenge, said he was motivated to give the ambulance as a donation because he once watched a GFA match that moved him to render such a help to the players.
For his part, Lamin King Colley congratulated the local staff of Antwerp Banjul Challenge for working extremely hard, both in the "foreground and background", which is not an easy task.
"You deserve our congratulations," he said.
One of the important roles of the ambulance and its crew is to stabilize and treat patients quickly to prevent any mishap before they are taken to the hospital.
