The 2012-2013 Gamtel-Gamcel sponsored Gambia Football Association GFA division one league will get underway tomorrow, Saturday 19 January 2013, in Banjul, Serrekunda East and Brikama Mini Stadium respectively.
Defending league and Super cup champions Real De Banjul will rub shoulders with Hawks in the all-Banjul derby game to be played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium; Real will be hoping for a win to keep their hopes of retaining their 2011-2013 crown.
Hawks, who finished one place above relegation zone last season, will also be expecting a victory to stand a better chance of clinching the league after several years of trophy draught.
Armed Forces will take on Bakau United at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium. Armed Forces finished runners-up a single point behind league champions Real De Banjul, and Bakau United finished three places above relegation zone.
Elsewhere, the 2010-2011 league champions Brikama United will host Young Africans in the other week one fixtures at the Brikama Mini Stadium.
Brikama United finished mid-table last season, while Young Africans also finished four places above relegation zone.
On Sunday 20 January 2013, FA Cup champions Gamtel will battle it out with Bakau giant killers at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.
Academy boys Samger will clash with the newly promoted side Seaview at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium, while Gambia Ports Authority will meet the newly promoted side Interior at the Brikama Mini Stadium.
