Academy boys Samger moved a single point clear at the top of the 2011-2012 Gambia Football Association (GFA) division league table following their hard fought 1-0 win over city boys Real De Banjul in the Week 12 fixtures played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium at the weekend.
The 2009-2010 league champions Gambia Ports Authority were held to a goalless draw by the newly promoted side Serrekunda United at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.
Armed Forces drew 1-1 with Young Africans in the other Week12 fixtures played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
Blue boys Wallidan came from one nil down to beat Bakau United 2-1 at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium on Sunday.
Telecommunications giant Gamtel were held to a 1-1 draw by Hawks at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda on the same day.
Elsewhere, current league champions came from behind to draw 1-1 with Bakau giant killers, Steve Biko at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, earlier on Friday.
After the game there was heavy violence between Steve Biko and Brikama United fans resulting into some fans and players sustaining serious injuries.
Samger are currently leading the table with 20 points in twelve games, Gambia Ports Authority have so far collected 19 points, and Brikama United and Gamtel have both collected 16 points.
Young Africans, Hawks, Bakau United and Steve Biko have all bagged 15 points in twelve games, while Read De Banjul and Wallidan have 14 points in twelve games.
Serrekunda United and Armed Forces have occupied second from bottom of the table with 15 points each in twelve games.
