GCAA Accountant Charged, Remanded over D4.9M Theft

Mr. Lamin Njie, Gambia Civil Aviation Authority Accountant, was on Monday arraigned and charged before Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Brikama Magistrates Court for stealing.

Mr. Lamin Njie is being alleged to have stolen the sum of D4.9M being the money of GCAA.

He denied the charge, before being sent to the remand wing of the Mile II Prison pending the next adjourned date.

Police prosecutor ASP Touray is taking charge of the case, which was adjourned to 25th August 2008.
