Gamcel gives to musicians, GPF, others

The National GSM Operator Gamcel last Thursday donated valuable items, including mobile phones and sim cards to musicians Yusupha Ngum, Musa Ngum, the Disabled Women Group, St. Anthony Church and the Gambia Police Force (GPF), amounting to D117, 872.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony held at Gamcel headquarters, Ramou Nyass-Hydara, Senior Marketing Manager of Gamcel revealed that this is not the first time Gamcel is giving out such gestures. This, she stated, is aimed at contributing to the development of the country, noting that Gamcel will continue to help the needy in the near future.

For his part, Seedy Jaiteh, the Director of Human Resource at Gamcel underscored the importance his company attaches in associating with the security officers in the country through mobile communication. He described The Gambia as the most peaceful country in Africa where there is religious tolerance.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Deputy IGP of Police Edward Sambou commended Gamcel for what he described as a kind gesture.

He added that they would continue to work hard to ensure that peace exist in the country.
