Gambisara FC on Tuesday defeated Jara Madina FC by a goal to nil in their first encounter of the ongoing 3rd annual Dynamic Sarahuleh Association For Change and Development tournament played at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda.

Muhammed Dukureh scored the only goal of the game for Gambisara in the 9th minute of the game to give his side the maximum three points.

Speaking to reporters shortly after the game, Ousman Dukureh, head coach of Gambisara FC, said the game was well contested, adding that the win was important for them as it was their first game and would boost their moral going into the rest of their group games.

He noted that his aim is to win the trophy this year because the past two editions they could not make it.

They started training together as a team a month before the start of the competition, he said, adding that they would go into their next game with confidence and will be also going for a win to stand a better chance of qualifying from their group.

Chondy Drammeh, head coach of Jara Madina, said they played well during the game but they lost due to poor preparation and mistakes during the game.

They would go back to training to rectify their mistakes before their next game, he said, adding that henceforth every game will be a final for them.
