Gambian youngster Mohamadou Susso, who currently plays for Mansfield Town Football Club Academy in England, has expressed his desire to play for his country of birth, The Gambia.
Mohamadou Susso, born on 29 November 1996 in Koba Kunda, Basse Santu-Su, Fulladu East District, Upper River Region in The Gambia, travelled to the UK in 2007 at the age of 11 years, and since then has been working hard to get to where he is today.
Soso, as he is commonly called, was below the standard of his age group at that time but due to hard work, determination and dedication he is proving to be a future talent.
Since he moved to the UK to live with his mother, Susso first registered with a local team called Hyson Green Cavillars Football Club and made very good progress in his first season, which earned him a call-up to Nottingham City Youth Football Team (CITY BOYS).
Susso made tremendous performance and progress in his football career, which prompted both Nottingham Forest Football Club and Derby County Football Club to sign him into their academies.
He eventually signed for Derby County Football Club Academy where he spent (three and a half years).
It was in this year that Mansfield Town Football Club signed him on a two-year scholarship contract.
The youngster, who said he is yearning to play for his beloved country The Gambia, disclosed that his wildest dream is to represent his country on the international stage.
“I have great intention to play for my country,” he says, adding that he could be reached through his football club Mansfield Town Football Club via their website, or by email: kuyateh27@hotmail.co.uk, Skype: sarjo.kuyateh1, or Tel: 0044 77334 77808.
