Gambian girl vies for ‘Sene Petit Gale’ competition

Awa Jonga, a primary school girl, is currently representing The Gambia in Senegal for the Sene Petit Gale (talent competition) among children of school-going age.

The competition takes place in the Senegalese capital courtesy of TFM Television station, Point Entertainment and Lifestyle was informed.

The initiative was designed to help children unearth their hidden potentials and boost their morale.

This is not the first of its kind and surely not the first time for Gambia to participate.

In the first edition, a Gambian girl who was on holidays in Dakar at the time took part.

But this time around it has been officially made an international regional competition with representation from Mauritania as well.

It’s simple, just vote for her via Africell line by sending 6 to 1755. She needs more votes to make it to the next round.

Reports monitored on TV show that the Mauritanian representative is ahead of our Awa Jonga in terms of votes, which counts a lot.
