Gambian Delegation off to U-17 W/Cup Draw

A four-man Gambian delegation led by Secretary-General Jammeh Bojang are in Abuja for the World U-17 World Cup draw scheduled for Friday. Others include Ousman Wadda, from the Marketing department, Brigadiers Saihou Seckan from security department and Dr Emad Rawad from the medical department.

According to GFA President Seedy MB Kinteh, the delegation that left Banjul on Wednesday will be among hundred of others from across the countries that qualified for the championship.

After the draw, they will join their peers on August 8 to take part in a team workshop in the morning and a medical session as well as visit the medical headquarters. On Sunday, there will be a security session at the venue and hotel inspection before they leave Nigeria on the 10th.

"The trip is proudly sponsored by Gamtel/Gamcel who are always at our assistance with regards to the U-17 side in the interest of Gambian sports," the GFA boss concluded.
