Gambia national U-20 squad has intensified preparations for their crunch 2017
African U-20 Youth Championship qualifiers second-leg tie with Guinea Conakry
set for Sunday 24 July 2016 in Conakry.
The
Darling Scorpions, who were held to a goalless draw by the Young Silly National
in the first leg in Banjul earlier this month, are currently on intensive
preparations at the Independence Stadium in Bakau for the crucial clash against
fellow West Africans.
Coach
Sise’s charges need a win or score draw to sail to the 2017 African U-20 Youth
Championship to be hosted in Zambia, after their goalless draw in the first leg
in Banjul.
The
Gambia eliminated Morocco to reach the third and final round of the African
U-20 qualifiers against Guinea Conakry.
Guinea
Conakry eliminated Ivory Coast to sail to the third and final round of the 2017
African U-20 Youth championship qualifiers.
The
winner between The Gambia and Guinea Conakry will advance to the 2017 African
U-20 Youth Championship to be hosted in Zambia.
