Reports reaching Pointsport from the public relations officer of The Gambia Kung Fu Association, Ebou Sanyang, has indicated that his association is set to inaugurate two Kung Fu clubs in Abuko.

The inauguration of the clubs - Young Fu Academy and Wu Tang Kung Fu - is slated for 25 September 2010.

The initiative is believed to be the latest attempts made by the Gambia Kung Fu Association whose aim is to decentralise Kung fu across the country.

As part of the inaugural programme, a demonstration of talents on the techniques of the game, such as fighting and other activities, will also take centre-stage.

"The event will also give us the opportunity to sensitise the public about Kung fu as a game of sport, like other sports, whose benefits include the provision of physical and mental health, loyalty, discipline as well as entertainment," the experienced Kung Fu demonstrator (aka Jet-li) stated.
